So, last week pretty much ruled. This week has been nice, but here’s what it’s missing:
3. The DNC — Other people have sports. I have the national convention. Truthfully, it was the first time I’d ever followed one, but I really enjoyed it. The RNC? I mean, I guess Palin did alright or whatever, but after all that’s happened over the last eight years, I don’t think I buy it…
2. The Loft — Folks came out in droves to the show last Thursday (probably because of Brandon’s awesome poster-making abilities), including a good number of my coworkers. Thanks everybody!
1. Cake — My sister’s birthday was last week, and I convinced Ross’ mom, an unbelievable pastry chef, to make a cake for her party. The band all went down to my parents’ house, hung out with family and friends, played bluegrass, and ate unspeakably delicious cake. It was absolutely glorious.
So what is there to look forward to now? Well, we’re playing in NYC on Saturday the 20th at Pianos. I think there are going to be a whole bunch of other bands playing, and it’s some kind of benefit–we’ll have more details soon. If you live in the big city, come rock with us.
(yeah, like MJ!)
