This Saturday = NYC
Here’s the rundown: Pianos is hosting an awesome mini-festival of sorts with lots of rad bands. We’re excited to be one of them. The whole jam starts around 8:00 PM, and we take the stage at 9:00 PM. It costs ten bucks, and the show will probably go on way past midnight. Creaky Boards (whose hilarious tongue-in-cheek Coldplay accusations caused quite a stir) and Drink Up Buttercup will also be rocking out. HERE are the official details.
And what about all you non-New Yorkers?
Well, if you’re in DC, our pals in Carlos, I’m Pregnant are playing the Black Cat this very evening. Those kids work hard and make some damn fine music. They’re opening for Japanese Action Comic Punk Band, Peelander-Z (their music is as ridiculous as you would expect). Go see them!
If you’re in Fredericksburg, there’s an independent film festival called RIFF going on Thursday through Sunday. I hear it’s the place to be, and considering there really aren’t that many “places to be” in F’burg, you just might want to go. You get serious karma points for supporting local artistic endeavors (for even more points, go to these shows and read these stories).
Otherwise, rest easy knowing we’re playing more shows in October… aka Rocktober. (Or Choptober, if you ask Jordan of CIMP).
