Our amazing friend Jenn “The Band Mom” Misko recently sent our record out to about 250 collegiate and independent radio stations around the US (and a few in Canada!), and now you can hear Tereu Tereu on the ‘ole fashioned FM dial. Pretty cool, right? If you happen to live in a college town, or if you listen to online radio stations like WOXY, keep your ears open for songs from All That Keeps Us Together. Better yet, just ask the DJ to play some Tereu Tereu! This is all new and fun for us, so we’ll try to keep you posted on the stations that are spinning our tracks the most.

Also, in case you didn’t know, you can BUY OUR ALBUM from our HIP NEW DIGITAL STORE or from places like iTunes and Amazon MP3.  The vinyl version is COMING SOON (more details on that later…).

Whatup everybody? We’re having a big ‘ole DC album release show on Tuesday at the venerable DC9. We’ll have some sweet discounts on vinyl pre-orders, and we’ll be rocking late into the night.

Also, if you work at a college radio station, or if you go to a college with a radio station, our record should be ready for airplay on Monday! Call up your favorite collegiate disc jockey and ask to hear Tereu Tereu. For realz.

If you live in F’burg and missed this one, you can catch our next hometown show on May 9th. We’ll be playing a festival hosted by Apple Music, and most of the town’s finest musicians will be performing. Hope to see you then!

You may or may not have noticed a slight lull in activity. Clearly, you’re not following my overactive twitter account. Fear not–we’re just gearing up for more awesomeness.

We’re playing a full-band show on April 10th in F’burg at the Library. As a special treat to our hometown peoples, we’re performing the new record from start to finish and closing the night with a big surprise. We’re excited to have The Like Whatevers and Carlos I’m Pregnant opening up for us. It’s a totally FREE show, and we’ll be selling hand-numbered copies of the album and screen-printed T-shirts for 10 bucks each. We put a lot of time and love into making our own merch, and we sell it at recession-friendly prices so you can afford it.

Thanks to all the folks who came out for the solo show at the BC the other day. We’ll be back up in DC with the whole band on May 19th at the DC9. It’s going to be a pretty incredible line-up–we’re playing with The Deep Vibration, Roman Candle, and Motel Motel who will be stopping through as part of a tour sponsored by WOXY and Paste Magazine. We’re stoked to be headlining, and we need your ever-reliable support to show these cats how rad DC can be.

For all you non-DC/VA kids, we’ll be hitting the road a bit more in June to support the official release of All That Keeps Us Together. More details on that to come…

I wish I was still in school right about now, because I could totally go for a snow day. Those are the best ever. If you have a snow day, please enjoy it doubly for me.

If you’re in DC on March 15th (Happy Birthday Mom!), I’ll be playing a solo set at The Black Cat with NYC piano tinkler Wakey Wakey. I’ll be playing a few old stand-bys along with NEW songs and an inevitable cover song or two. If you have a cover song you’d love to hear, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

We’ll be playing more full-band shows in April. We’ve got a really big show in Fredericksburg in early April that I’ll tell you more about later… expect awesomeness.

Oh, and if you’re in Richmond on Friday, you should come see Fight The Big Bull for free. If Man Man covered Mingus’ Black Saint and Sinner Lady, it might kind of sound like Fight The Big Bull. I mean, NPR likes ‘em, so they must be doing something right… right?
